About GoreSports.net

After a few years away, I’m proud to relaunch this passion project as an additional source for sports coverage, local interviews, and compelling stories from across North Mississippi and beyond. Whether you’ve been here since the early days or you’re just discovering the site, I’m glad you’re along for the ride.

Originally launched in 2006, GoreSports.net was built out of a deep love for local sports, journalism, and community storytelling. It quickly became a trusted source for high school and junior college athletics, shining a light on the athletes, coaches, and small towns that make Mississippi sports so unique.

Now, after a full relaunch for the first time since 2012, GoreSports.net returns with a renewed focus of cover the people and programs that matter most along with the student-athletes, the rivalries, the moments you remember.

And yes, there will still be the occasional Notre Dame post. Maybe even a wrasslin’ take or two.

In a time when local coverage is shrinking, your support means everything. Sharing stories, subscribing to the YouTube channel, and spreading the word helps amplify the coverage our area deserves.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.
