Monroe360: Smithville, Amory win Hatley Tournament

Smithville’s boys and Amory’s girls won the Hatley Tournament last weekend, the guys in exiting fashion.

Friday, the Seminoles beat Amory 53-51 in the final 4 seconds before Saturday’s championship win against Tremont. Datrune Freeman‘s steal and assist to Kyle Stevens gave the Seminoles a 44-43 win at the buzzer in the title game.

In boys consolation, Amory got 18 points from Dario Robinson and Anthony Spratt to take the guys’ third place game. Hatley was led by Justin Walden’s game-high 27 points. Chris Tartt added 18 for the Tigers.
