According to Monroe360.com Aberdeen Superintendent Chester Leigh stepped up to the plate and issued a formal apology to the officials involved the incident after the Aberdeen-Houston game to resolve the dispute between Aberdeen High School and the North Mississippi Officials Association.
“As a district, we regret it happened. I’m sorry about the whole incident. I did tell everybody that,” Leigh said. “I do regret that it happened. I guess if they’re saying that’s an apology, I’m sorry about the incident. We want to move forward. I’m not trying to create problems with anybody. We settled it to everyone’s satisfaction.”
