Haleigh Moore, a member of Saltillo High’s championship cross country program, has signed a letter of intent to run for Blue Mountain College.
Moore joins her twin sister Heather and four other Saltillo runners – Heath Lindley, Hunter Flanagan, Ross Livingston and Will Nichols – on the 2008 Toppers cross country team.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Haleigh on our team,” cross country coach Fred Smith said. “She’s proven herself on the high school level with one of the best programs around, and she’ll give us the depth that we need as we continue to build our program.”
Moore was a six-time letter-winner for a Tigers program that won the divisional championship in each of her years and the state championship in 2002. She was an all-division runner in five of those years and all-state runner three times. Moore was Saltillo’s rookie of the year in 2002.
“Haleigh will produce great results for Blue Mountain College, just as she did for us at Saltillo,” said Tigers coach Charles Covington.
